I want to install the Emgep into my new GJC. I see there were a few posts about using the OEM-1 from PAC to interface to the standard infinity amp but no updates to say if this actually worked.

Here in the UK I have to get a company called Audioleads to import it, so I want to be sure first.

Comments?

Maybe you should ask Autoleads what the proper adapter is for that vehicle. Perhaps they already have something that doesn't need to be imported.

I have and they only have a unit that takes speaker levels not RCA 4volt. If I don't get an answer I will buy a new amp. That would be a pitty as the Cherokee has a six channel unit with active crossover made by Harman. I took it apart and it is well made. I did toy with mod'ing it, but I want to keep it intact for when I decide to sell.

I got bored and bought two stereo amps and a crossover network to replace the existing amp. I took this route as I could not find a four-channel amp to fit in the available space and I’m very impatient. Up to this point I had been using a cassette adaptor to connect the empeg to the existing head end <yugh>.
