My new install is far from complete, but I do have altenator whine that I want to take care of before going further. At first I thought my amp wasn't grounded well, but now I have doubts. While using the tuner, there are pops in the audio for about a minute after starting the car. The pops vary in loudness and appear at random. This first got me to thinking the empeg must be the source of the grounding problem.

Then, yesterday, the empeg reset itself while playing. This wasn't due to a dip in power. The empeg completely restarted without showing the battery icon. This pretty much sealed it for me that the empeg requires some more grounding. I just wonder what other think. Thanks.

PS - The same empeg and tuner were fine in my other car (Isuzu Rodeo), so I assume my new car is to blame.
