I can't find my remote anywhere and I'm not happy. First of all, is there any place other than the international store to get the Rio Remote. Second, does any remote work with the Rio? Is the hold feature on the Rio remote exclusive to it or is it possible on other remotes? This may already be answered but im lazy. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You have, literally, until tomorrow to purchase the replacement remote. The international store will ship to US addresses, I highly recommend you get that replacement before the store shuts its doors tomorrow.

In the meantime, Kenwood remotes work by default and you can buy a KCA-R6A aftermarket. Not labeled as nicely as the Rio, and some of the functions are not available, but it's there if you have no other choice.

Holding a button down on the kenwood remote doesn't work, right? As in holding down play/pause so that it hushes.

Correct (for some buttons). Like I said, some functions are not available on the Kenwood. So get your Rio remote while you can.

Does anyone have any idea what it would cost to to get a remote from the Empeg store and have it shipped to the U.S., specifically Texas?

I want to get one, but not if I'm goiing to get reamed by import taxes or duty fees or anything like that.

1 remote 20GBP
shipping 6.60GBP
total 26.60 GBP
or 38.9743USD

as for import taxes or duty fees it all depends on what customs thinks it is and who's on duty.

Knowing you can still put the visuals into "Favorites" mode... Priceless.

You can Mark with 4 on the Kenwood remote IIRC.

Just tried it, 4 brings up the Quick Timer. Oh no! Tony, wrong? Something must have happened.

Edit: Playing with it some more, I found that Tony is actually half right! <whew> If I press 3, and then press 4 immediately after it marks the track. Actually, pressing any of the "Tweak Order" buttons and then pressing 4 will mark.

No, Tony's right. With Hijack Installed, 4 is the Quick Timer, without Hijack, 4 is Mark Track. My complaint was that with the old remote and hijack, the only way to mark tracks was by redefining the knob press.

Yes, although I should have said sans hijack-knob-redefinition. Sans (without) hijack, mark track is no problem...
By the way, is the quick timer removable in config.ini?

Mark Track is also hidden under the bookmark menu. Which is a real pain to get to, and even more of a pain when you're trying to mark a track and find that it already was marked and you just unmarked it so now you've got to go through all the menus again and mark it.

No. But I would like to make it remap-able someday.
