well, does it work? I mean, does listening to Dark Side of the Moon and watching Wizard of OZ at the same time really create some sort of effect? Or is it merely some tokers concoction?

It's just a case of people finding coincidences because they're looking for them. A detailed description of the coincidences is listed here.

If you are deliberately looking for coincidences, you can find them anywhere you look.

True, it's just a bunch of coincidences, but it is an exceptionally good bunch of coincidences. Try it out sometime if you haven't, it's pretty cool.

Yeah, I did that trick once. Play the album at the 3rd roar of the MGM lion. Very creepy how things line up. We were all sober at the time as well, and still enjoyed ourselves.

I did it a couple years ago. Coincidence or not, it unquestionably provides for good entertainment.

another creepy thing about wizard of oz is you actually see a man hanging himself in the background when dorothy and friends are in the forest. its really hard to tell he's hanging himself but he does at the upper left of the movie screen. i think its a crew member and not part of the script.

Yeah, if you listen to the John Frickle commentary, he explains quite clearly that it's a bird moving around (they brought real birds onto the set to make it look more real) instead of a stage hand or a munchkin.

Why a bird would want to hang itself is a completely different question.

Hey, I didn't google for those links. Snopes is the first place I go for any Urban-legend-related stuff. The page I linked up top was from a link at Snopes...
