Ok, let me give you the background.

I have 3 pc's running on the @home service.

Each one takes a computer name such as cx959595-a, *-b, *-c

first off i tried just using DHCP and hoping the empeg would resolve correctly. It didn't.

Then i tried direct connect with a crossover cable. Still nothing.

Where do i set the network settings on teh EMPEG itself, i have read through the board and manual but can't seem to find out how to tell EMPEG what address to take, etc. I know this is a basic question, but the support for it in the manual is non existant.

You'll have to connect to the empeg with emplode some other way (serial, usb). The settings to set the ip address and such on the empeg are in emplode.
