Ok fellas, I've got this little problem with my 'info' display. I like to keep it on "line" (you know the one with all the cool visuals), and it stays on "line" if it's in the house everytime it powers up, it's there. In the car however, whenever you power up it's automatically back to "track" with no visuals. Any suggestions?

This is actually by design. Check out the FAQ page here.

There was at one point however, a kernel hack floating around that would allow what you want. Info is located here .

The point with the kernel is that it has to be rebuild for every new version (eg. 1.1 - if it ever comes

please for our sanity and your safety, don't ask anymore about this issue:) if you want to switch to the visual mode, just hold the bottom button in for about 3 seconds after the player starts playing music and it will switch itself to the last used display mode (which in your case would be line mode). the kernel hack is an option, but after a few times, it really just becomes habit to push the button after you start the car. i don't even realize that i am doing it now.

This is only in the 1-02 version. In older versions the last selected visual is displayed and info is off.

True, but it's not really worse than having to recompile with the vol-adj patch (or waiting until someone else does).
