Here are pictures of the first CNC Facia cut in exotic wood. This wood is called Zebrawood and it's from Africa. I stained it using a walnut oil finish. The block of wood the facia is sitting on is what it looks like before getting cut and stained. I must say I'm getting better and better at cutting because this one is very smooth. I even remembered to cut the recess in the back for the lens. I have about 5 other types of exotic woods I'll be cutting examples from over the next couple weeks. With the holidays my time in the machine shop is going to be limited.
