I've finished pulling my dash apart to install my nice new £3 Maplin microphone in the car. After much fiddling I sat holding the microphone and selected 'Auto EQ'. What issued forth from the speakers were a series of pops, splat, cracks and crunches as various speakers banged against end stops and amps clipped. I'm glad I'd put off the installation of the new MB Quarts. At the end of it I was left with a scary looking eq that sounded well and truely terrible. Throughout the process I think I only heard tone once. Has anyone played with this in anger?
