CrashLander stranger Registered: 12/02/2002 Posts: 26	My machine seems to be unable to open a com port to use with the rio car player. I have tried everything I can think of, but still no go. I am running Windows 98se. Does anybody have any suggestions? (I removed the modem and tried using that port, and I have all the setting set as recommended.)

CrashLander stranger Registered: 12/02/2002 Posts: 26	It is enabled, and there are no boo-boos anywhere. Port settings are 115200 bps, 8 data bits, parity none, stop bits 1, and flow control none. When using HyperTerminal, it says, "Unable to open COM1" (or 2, or 3, ...). This one has me stumpped.
