Incidentally I posted a feature request to the EAC mailing list, and here's the response from Andre Wiethoff:


I don't think that this is really necessary... Either do it manually with razorlame, or use offset correction for compression (and a gap killer on playback). I had never heard that the --nogap will work better than that.


In other words, he doesn't want to do it. He's completely wrong in his argument that doing it manually or using offset correction and a gap killer is a better solution. How should I respond to encourage him to do this? If someone else is on the EAC list, feel free to chime in.
