I have ordered the Mk2 with an amber display.
I thought the colour would match my dashlight but it didn't. Finally I found out that my Peugeot's dashlight has the same color as the BMW's.
I tried unmounting the faceplate ( then the color is something between blue and green) but that colour doesn't match the dash-light.
In my opinion the only color really matching is red.
