Some people are reporting a 20GB savings (which I do find hard to believe). I can't remember how much space is used by print drivers, but I don't think it's near 20GB. Especially since by default, no version of Mac OS has installed absolutely all the print drivers that come on the install discs.

Regarding print drivers however, I find that I get much better performance from the Guttenprint (Gimp Print) PCL driver than I do with the LexMark PS2 driver for my aging Optra Lxn+ - go figure.

Tom, can you check the resources folder of TextEdit to check the presense and sizes of the various lproj folders? I've been meaning to install 10.6 for three weeks now, but you know how things are when there's other stuff to do (like attend to a crying baby smile )
