Has anyone done much with empty playlists?

I have an empty one, hang on, I'll check it.

Nope, behaves fine on mine. Empty playlists say "none" on the player screen and don't let you try to play them. Selecting an empty playlist in Emplode and hitting Play results in "end of playlist" on the player but no crashes.
