I wouldn't say the tuner visuals look sluggish, but there is a definite difference in the "amplitude" of FM and AM signals. With all of my AM stations, the visuals are very "violent" and jumpy (for instance, Clock Dist bounces around quite nicely) but with FM, they are much tamer. Is there a difference in the perceived volume of FM and AM signals as far as the Empeg is concerned? I thought one of my FM stations might be broadcasting at a lower volume, but it's that way for all my FM stations. The difference is very noticable, where the FM signals are almost flat, the AM ones are very active. Any comments?
