I think what Cyberglitch and I experienced is specific to the US where ISO connectors (at least the males) are harder to find in the aftermarket. I actually could buy a male from a VW dealer, but it was part of a 3-connector radio install kit and cost $30. The dealer had a junkyard next door, and that was all of $5.

I'm going to Paris at the end of November, though, so if he's *still* looking, I can get him one!
