What I'm worried about isn't the too hot but too cold. I'm more worried about the disks freezing up

I don't recommend doing this... but I have started my player up at temperatures colder than -10 degrees F. Only one time (probably at around -15 degrees) did it fail to start. I pulled it out of the dash and set it on the floor by the heater output for about three minutes, and then it fired right up.
