It comes down to this :
alot of FF's in the fron which should be skipped ( I think )
then one byte with tag info. I think I read the mapping of tag-numbers to names in the emptool source. the next byte indicates the length of the data. After that the data is presented.byte FF indicates end of record. If you look in the emptool source you'll also find different types of fids, of which some of them are also in the database.
