I've got a 17" Samsung SyncMaster 171B (1280x1024 analog LCD, pivoting). I had a Iiyama Visionmaster Pro17 (1600x1200 @75 Hz Aperture Grille). I've been very impressed with everything about the Samsung. Great contrast ratio, good brightness & viewing angle. The pivot is handy when working on high resolution photos in portrait mode. It was about $600 a few months back.
