I think it's unfortunate that there is control by the industry over how we use these things, but it doesn't concern me personally, or at least this particular instance doesn't.

Even if I owned a ReplayTV, I wouldn't use the commercial skip feature. If I miss a piece of an episode or catch the end of a break, either way I'm going to be upset. But even more so, the Tivo representative was right, I often go back and watch a commercial I'm interested in, but it doesn't interrupt my viewing too much. Spending 4 to 6 seconds every 10 minutes or so doesn't bother me.

Does ReplayTV have the jump-back feature during fast forwarding that Tivo does?
