As of Tuesday none of the flash-based MP3 players matter much anymore anyway. Apple has now entered this segment and no doubt will capture a comanding percentage of the market-share. And Apple has both the physical and software sexiness going for it - if not the geek appeal and more essoteric (but useful) features found in some other players.

So anything you can give away about Rio and CES? I still think Rio can have a wildly successful product - but I think some redefinition will have to come in play. Like you said, no one knows how useful the software is. And you can't market a product by listing a million things it does well. you have to jump on just a couple of features and push them hard to individual markets. Apple had the huge benefit of pushing on a simple feature set to a very expansive market segment.
