Learn something new each day. I even called tech support at Samsung and they never mentioned it. Still struggling with this and will research some more. The dvi cable they sent with the monitor is like this instead of like this. I assume I will need the latter. Now I wonder if my video card (which is pinned like the latter) will work if I just put the dual cable in.

Edit to add this comment: Why would they send a single link DVI cable for a monitor that requires dual link?
