The way he flew it, there was no chance of actually hitting them. Those streamers were pretty long, and the kids frightened easily -- they would drop to the ground when the kite itself was still 10-15 feet above them, then he'd hover and drag the streamers across their backs.

It was a truly impressive demonstration of technology and skill!
