US military is one of the biggest petrol wasters. Besides, there's plenty of crude in Iraq to refine and power the US' military might. And conveniently much of that armament is already in the middle East and Iraq proper.

I'm sure Bush et al. are rubbing their little grubby hands together smiling their biggest grins. Don't worry, they'll make sure the gasoline flows. But it's going to be at prices you're not going to like - but they'll make sure you have to pay.
