One thing I really liked about the old board (and I think it was a relatively recent change) was this:

Say I'm viewing a forum with topics that contain new posts. I could click on a topic, read the new posts, and then hit back or Alt+left to go to the list of topics again, and the list would be updated to indicate that there were no new posts in the topic I'd just visited.

That appears to have been broken...
