Zippy is our internet gateway/server box
(VIA mini-ITX in a cookie-tin), and it got upgraded today with a Silicon Image SATA adapter PCI card and a repurposed 250GB SATA drive in place of a 2-year old 160GB ATA (IDE) drive.
I also swapped out the old 60W PSU for a PicoPSU (90W or 120W, dunno), and beefed up the +12V AC adapter from 42W to 60W
(needed for when we plug in *two* or more external drives temporarily).
Seems to have survived the operation, and now we have an upgrade path for larger capacity drives in the future.
