As a slight follow-up, I just wanted to mention that I installed and uninstalled Media Monkey tonight. I did let it read all my music to see what it could do.

It doesn't seem to support Compilations nor doe sit have any concept of total discs or tracks. As in "1 of 2" or "1 of 10"

I'm not risking my existing tag data to that program. I was looking at it for use with a plugin to add lyrics to my tags for the purpose of searching (I don't otherwise ever plan to display or use the lyrics for anything else)

Songbird seems to finally be at a 1.0 version, so I'm giving that another look. I'm installing it in Windows, though it supports Win/Linux/Mac on Intel platforms. It's done in XUL (like Firefox) and support plugins, of which I also grabbed a Lyrics downloader.
