I was in the RAID controller's menu on my file server looking at the 1TB Seagate drive I just purchased.

Briefly confused about what I was doing, I pressed "Low Level Format".

So that's what it's doing right now. Is that likely to harm it in any way? (I didn't have any files on it yet.) Also: It's taking a while and there's no option to stop it. That's not something I should interrupt, is it?
