PPS: What's Area 51?

Area 51 refers to an urban myth propogated here in the US. Supposedly, it's the name of a section of a US Air Force base where secret UFO technology is being tested and hidden. It's become synonymous with any government conspiracy or cover-up.

It's become sort of a running pop-culture joke by this point. One of the best variations I've seen of the joke is the scenes in "Independence Day". I especially love Brent Spiner: "As you can imagine, they don't let us out much."
