Yeah, that makes sense. I guess I'll give it a go. I placed an order for a new 2.5" HD, and once I do the swap, I'll be able to play around with the FIBMAP stuff. After ten minutes or so of trying to grok Mark's excellently-commented code, I think it's something I can handle.
