Okay, so the BenQ projector supports "3D Mode", and Amazon sells compatible 3D LCD shutter glasses for CAD$45/pair.

I know nothing much about 3D stuff: what else is required, other than a video file of a 3D recording?

Does the PC / video card need to do anything special?

EDIT: Answering my own question here, yes, a special "stereoscopic video player" application is needed. So for me here, that would be Bino. Mmmm.. probably not worth the $45 (for the glasses) to satisfy my curiosity about this discarded tech standard though.
