I would also check to ensure the drive has up-to-date firmware. There is often perhaps one extra version after initial release, to fix the odd bug discovered once mass deployment (sales) began.

If there is newer firmware available, install it. Here, I might then just reformat the drive, aka "SECURE ERASE", and then restore from back-up. It'll probably last another decade or more -- but the S.M.A.R.T. data will give a better indication of that.

Note that I have never had to restore a retail-purchased SSD from backup. They have been super reliable for me.
