I'm pretty much in agreement with this - it is basically a Geekbone, but -

- I remember how surprised I was at the quality of playback when I got a cassette playback adaptor for my portable CD player to allow me to use it in any of our cars (this was prior to the empeg, of course). I don't know whether it was just the signal level from the player driving the head, but I felt that I was getting quite excellent playback (better than I expected, anyway).
