Actually, before I got an in-dash CD player, I used a cassette adapter tied to a portable CD player. It sounded _significantly_ better than a cassette tape. I'm not saying the sound was as nice as the setup I have now, but it will satisfy a lot of people.

Still, with only 32MB capacity this Rome player is pretty much worthless.
