I was going to say you were wrong but you're correct it is a receiver in teh front.

Those two other boxes seem more like a database/warehouse. They have larger displays than an empeg, and a MUCH bigger box. My hopes are:
- music/entertainment warehouse & server
- built in amplifier (Surround?)
- multiple inputs (DVD, VCR etc)
- tuner

Basically the main unit for your distibuted music system. All the receivers & empegs network to it and it is managed by your computer.

I better stop dreaming here.
