Why would you want multiple inputs and an amplifier on the server? Nowadays, the amp/receiver/A-V-switcher boxes are incredibly advanced gadgets with incredible power. They do things like Dolby Digital and DTS decoding, drive 6-channel surround systems, and do component video routing with graphic overlays. They are often over $1000.00 just for that alone. There's no way SonicBlue could possibly compete in that market.

Seems to me that it's more logical for the server to be like any other source component. For example, as if it were a replacement for a CD changer.
