Then I had the idea of mounting it inside the cover. I'll see about pulling the cover off tomorrow to check it out.

Yeah, that was my idea. I was thinking of putting some really small buttons in the back side of the cruise control cover and wiring them up to resistors so they could go into the tuner module like a Sony stalk.
