yeah i have no problem connecting, whether for flash upgrade or to start the logo process. i get to the message

i have hyperterminal (as well as secureCRT) but i don't know how to connect with them. i tried a com1 session with HTerminal and it counted up the connected clock but the cursor just hung in the upper left ... nothing happened and it didn't respond when i typed "ls" for example

what's wrong with my empeg?
