Greetings!

Sorry for being a little slow on the uptake, but could you start from the beginning?

I assume that you were having drive problems and received a replacement cable from David.

Is this a hard drive that you installed yourself? Did you run disk builder against it? Exactly what symptoms are you seeing? Can you post a boot log?

Thanks!

FAQ entry on the "Pump" error is here.

Since your player works in the car but not at home, I would suspect a problem with the AC adaptor as described here.

I'll update the FAQ entry on the "pump" error to also include the reference to the AC adaptor.

Okay, updated the FAQ entry on the Bad Pump error a little bit.

One question to the empeg guys (if you're reading this):

Could the pump error be caused by an incorrectly-partitioned disk drive? Should this person be running the builder-image on the disk drive now to make sure it's partitioned right?
