Available at riocar.org and at my home page. I'm going to skip making a headline on riocar.org for this release.
From the readme.txt:
Added a feature to grab screen shots of the current screen
from the player using FTP.
Also added a feature (on the VIEW menu) to save the
preview images as bitmaps. This option is only available
when the preview window is actually up on the screen, it is
grayed out at all other times. It will save both images as
two separate files, the first being the name you choose
in the Export dialog box, the second being that same name
plus "_2" at the end. This is useful if you want to have
nice-looking screen shots of the empeg screen. I don't have
any code to save as GIF/JPG/PNG yet, only BMP, sorry. If
anyone's got links to any license-free "VB code only"
solutions for saving any of those file formats, please let
me know.

I'd recommend the FreeImage Library. It isn't "VB Code Only," but it is free. You'll get JPG/PNG. No GIF, because of UNISYS. PNG is better anyway.
Yes, it's been discontinued, but the latest version is still available. For now...
There's also code to use the Intel JPEG library.

Hey, Tony. Is there anyway for me to use the AnnaVU and TuxMuch functions on my Mark I.
Oh Please don't say I have to have networking and need a Mark II.

IIRC (been a while since I played with them) they're now files, and you should be able to
send them up through the serial connection (rz/sz, see the FAQ)

Hello Tony,
Great work for updating the functionality of Logo Editor - Just have to add capability to change the Image Pan image now.
I've had a problem with the grab boot logos from player (FTP) feature - It doesn't work and says 'Fatal error, attemped to load a non-empeg file" - Grabbing the Annu Vu and Tux Much images works fine though. Have only tried it on one player as only have one Hi-Jack enabled here. If no one else is having this problem then it's probably just something odd about my player.
Thought I would mention it anyway though,
Toby.

As mtempsch said, you need to use the serial cable. And you need to "prep" the files with EmRawerter before sending them. LogoEdit can't help you in this particular case, so click here for links to EmRawerter and instructions.

Yup, that's on my to-do list. May take a while, though.

I can imagine only two situations where this would happen:
- Old version of Hijack that doesn't support the empeg_bootlogos FTP file.
- Player never had any custom boot logos installed to begin with, so the "empg" text does not exist as the first four bytes of the file it grabbed.
Is it either of those things?

I'm a little confused about logos. There seems to be three different ones. A boot logo, and two others, home & car, that will display after the boot logo depending on if the player is starts in the car or at home. Have I got that right?
Also, I too, saw the error above, when I tried to save the stock boot logo before I started messing with uploads. Is it trying to get this file? /empeg/lib/visuals/empeg_logo.raw

Yes. In version 2.0 software, that boot logo is animated, so it's an animation file instead of a logo file, and you can edit that with Jemplode (if Hijack is installed). The home/car thing is the non-animated picture that appears after the animation is done playing.

No, it is trying to retrieve a sequence of bytes from a specific address in the player's flash RAM. Not a file.
If I recall correctly, I believe Mark has abstracted the logos and animations into something that can be accessed through Hijack FTP as if it were a file. But it's not really a file, it's just a symlink that appears in the filesystem that causes Hijack to access a certain section of flash RAM. And anyway, the file you listed above is not that link. I think it's something in /proc if I recall correctly.
