Okay, I was trawling imdb doing my usual degrees of separation stuff and came across the 'Pirates of Silicon Valley' I arrived at through Anthony Michael Hall.
It was a TV movie and it finally arrived on NTSC VHS. Anyway, I've just finished watching it and I have to say I was quite impressed. I never realised what a nutjob Steve Jobs was. Has anyone else seen it, what did you think of it?
I have to say, every time I saw Steve Ballmer I couldn't stop thinking of the 'dance monkey boy, dance' video that circulated around my office a year or so ago.

I thought it was pretty good, and that both actors did a good job portraying their characters. I also thought it was pretty even-handed in that it showed the bad side of both individuals, but that those bad sides were different.
That being said, I can't imagine ever wanting to watch it again, much less pay money for it.

It only cost me $10 and it sounded interesting so I thought, what the hell.

I wasn't really casting judgement on your purchase. I really meant that as a descriptor of how good I thought it was. I'll occasionally see a movie in the theater twice if I think it's very good. Sometimes seeing it once was enough. Sometimes I'm unhappy that I spent the money. Sometimes I'm unhappy that I spent the time. This movie would have fallen in the next-to-last category had it not been on (for all intents and purposes) free TV.

At least it was better than Antitrust. -=Shudder=- And I usually like Tim Robbins.

I saw that in the theater. Tim Robbins was remarkably awful in it. Honestly, I didn't expect much, but I had an interest in the subject matter and it had Rachael Leigh Cook in it. I think the latter pushed me over the edge into watching it.
By the way, The Gift was a really good movie. Just don't ask me the plot. Now figure out my taste in women.

I watched the DVD of “Antitrust” and for some reason watched a few of the “extras”. On it was a part where Tim Robbins was talking all about how much money is made in Silicon Valley and how obscene it was. “Hello pot, this is the kettle calling . . .”

I just saw The Gift a few weeks ago and watched it twice. I'm guessing you like the round-faced brunettes
Either that or you have a thing for Giovanni Ribisi. (who was incredible in that film, by the way)

And, to continue, and hopefully end, this tangent, Keanu Reeves was actually pretty good.

I'll have to say (and my girlfriend concurs), it was all about watching Claire Forlani. Mmmmmm...
Sorry, did I say that last part out loud? Let me check. "Mmmmm..."
Yup, I did.
