I checked the FAQ and searched the forum. I couldn't find this problem described anywhere. Emplode can't seem to detect my empeg on my network if the laptop running emplode is connecting wirelessly. As soon as the network cable is plugged into the laptop, the empeg is detected. Do I need some specific setting? Other internet works just fine.

Try specifying the IP address of the empeg manually. If that doesn't work, log into your router and make sure wired/wireless bridgeing is enabled.

Specifying the IP number did it for me. Why wouldn't the broadcast work?

Netmask.

If you can reconfigure your network to use 255.255.0.0 or 255.255.255.0 as the netmask, then the broadcast may work better. That's what worked for me.

Cheers
