Hi all

So, mistakenly thinking I already had an up to date Hijack, I installed empatic with no joy - turned out I had version 3.93 So, having upgraded to version 4.09, I've tried to install Emphatic again. Still, no joy - the install script fails as follows:

By the looks of things, /usr/local/bin doesn't exist - if I ftp to the Empeg, all I can find in / is swapfile.

So:
1) Any ideas?
2) Is there a username/password I can use to manually investigate - I'm reasonably FTP-competent....

Umm. Doesn't it ask you for what directory you want to install it in?

Use dir instead of ls when using FTP. It sends a different command and will show you everything.

Also no . in the Hijack version number

The batch file I shipped with emphatic 2.0 is broken. 2.01 will be out sometime this week to address that and a couple other issues. For now, you can create the directory manually, or install it to some other directory that exists already.

Have re-read the FAQ, and had forgotten that I can use the COM port to do stuff manually. I'll FTP it across, then run the scripts myself

I give up - you're right - the postinstall script doesn't work at all
What settings do I put into config.ini? I was planning on enabling all options - the auto-launch, the reserve-memory, the shuffly thing and so on, but can only work out some of the settings.
Anyone already got this installed, who can post what these should be? I'm looking for entries like:
