Hey guys. I have pretty new EMPEG mk2 and the dimmer seems to have a mind of its own. I have it at 100% dimmer (full brightness) but the brightness seems to randomly go between lowest and highest eventhough the setting stays at 100%. The broghtness only changes when the unit is powered off/on, not when the unit is on. (it does not randomly change under normal operation... only random with each power on..

I can go into the settings and flip it to 90% then back to 100% and it corrects itself.

My other Empeg mk2 does not do this. They are running the same (most up to date) os.

Thanks for any imput you may have!!!

There is a capacitor fix for the display that will take care of it. My unit suffers from this problem, too.

See here for some more info, including a video of the fix.

Greetings!

This is a known problem and is easy to fix if you are familiar with soldering, or know someone that is...

Edit: Damn... Too slow...

You can hack an easy dimmer control using this macro which would make the VolUp and VolDown buttons on the remote change the dimmer level. This would make it easy to fix in the car using the remote.
