As I think I mentioned earlier, I need the handle replaced on my spare empeg. I've got the parts (although I might be short of the screws), it just needs someone with a more subtle touch than I've got. I'll bring it by the Akai office to shoot the breeze and see if you've got time to fix it.

We'll have Rob S's complete empeg spares stock available for the repair session.

I need to know how many people are coming to the shooting but who are not participating, so please email me if that's you.

Thanks!

I am assuming that we will be meeting in a more central pub for lunch on the Saturday ???

If that's the case I really fancy the punting again, if people who are not going to the repair session would like to join me?

Cheers

Cris.

I'm going to try and do both. I'd like to get my player looked at, but i'd also like to give punting another go. What time will the repairs session kick off?

I'll be leaving the car with the missus (I figure that Charlie won't be particularly enamoured of the noise, so they won't be spectating for the clays), so could I cadge a lift from someone?

As usual, I'll be renting a car. I should have 3 or 4 spaces available.

I sent out an itinerary update with a request to email me various details, mostly transport related. If you're coming to the meet and you didn't get that email let me know! Please get those emails to me as soon as possible so I can tie up the last few loose ends.

Note for Peter R - your dv-kombinat.de email address tried to forward to another address and bounced. Let me know how to contact you.

Cheers

By the way the coach pick-up point is very close to some of the punting stations. A bit of good timing could save a walk..

Rob,

Have I missed the boat? Had so much stuff going on that I forgot about this...

I'm not interested in the clay pidgeon shooting, but would be interested in the meal (if not too late) and other activities!

I live just outside of cambridge.

John G and I need one more person to help with setting up at Chilford Hall during Saturday afternoon. We will be leaving Cambridge as soon as we get back from the shooting (it may be necessary for us to miss the pub lunch if the shooting over runs). You would come to the venue with us in the van (for this reason we need exactly one extra helper) and help set up the lighting, sound system and decor. Some lifting will be involved.

If you can help please let me know ASAP. Of course you should not volunteer if you are going punting, to the repair session, if you're providing transport for others, or if you don't want to risk missing the pub lunch.

Thanks

Rob

For those who like to get celebrations under way at the earliest opportunity, we will meet at the Eagle public house on Bene't Street at 6.30pm (earlier or later is fine). This may or may not be the oldest pub still operating in Cambridge, since at least 1667 (the building dating back to 1525). It'll be busy so we'll gather wherever we can find space (outside is nice if it's sunny).

We'll move on to the Eraina Taverna just across the street at 8pm. I have a table booked in the name of Empeg. The Eraina has.. err.. an eclectic menu, but it's good value, the house red is drinkable and cheap as chips, and the place is something of an empeg haunt which will make us all feel young again.

On Saturday we'll have lunch at the White Horse in at Swavesey, about 15 miles north east of Cambridge.

http://www.whitehorseswavesey.com/

Tables are booked in the name “Empeg” for 1pm. If we get there earlier we can enjoy some of their real ales.

I've updated the event map with these locations:

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps/ms?ie=UTF8...92c8c2&z=10

An updated printable itinerary will go out later today.
