Found this YouTube video of someone installing the bracket on a 24 inch monitor if it helps.
It helped a ton. And I now know the difference between the different mount adapters. The new ones need a second adapter (included) that has 8 screw holes which actually attached to the display. Then the VESA plate attaches to that rectangular adapter.
With the older displays, a rectangular protrusion was already part of the display, so you only needed the VESA plate. I only have the plate, so I'll have to buy a new kit.
I just checked pricing and I see that in Canada they're asking $100 more tahn in the US. Using a corporate store I can get it down to $12 more than US retail. US corporate store pricing is then $93 less than that however.
This could end up being a US purchase later next month when I'm thinking about picking up a number of other large items. I'll still end up paying tax importing them into Canada, but overall I'll be saving a large amount on the purchase prices, so it's worth it. Everything I'm getting has full warranty up here - no Nikon cameras.
