I assume it is possible to take the hard drive out of my MkII and drop it into an MkIIa (taking out the original drive). Now that I have a wealth of MkIIa's I would like to take my MkII out of service to preserve it for posterity.

Also, my car required the negative spike diode fix. Will the diode I installed interfere with the MkIIa and it's onboard diode?

Should be no prob that is what i have done kind of as the nice guys at empeg did it for free as my Mk2 was in for a look at due to tuner probs so i bought a Mk2a at the same time and i got a free swap

As always service second to none

There will be no problems with having 2 diodes.
