Will I be ok using the 4v lineouts from the Empeg into the CD changer input or do I have to use the 1v on the back of the unit ?

Cheers

Cris

PS - I have a box to enable the aux in, so thats cool.

Just use the 4v on the empeg docking cradle... not the ones on the back of the empeg (that would really be a pain). Don't you had how that stupid aux-in box is $99?

Sorry, I had read the FAQ but I am unsure if I will damage the head unit or not by using the 4v output when I should be using 1v. I will just give it quick go and see what happens ???

BTW - Yes the XA-300 did cost a bit (almost as much as a changer in fact) about £93 inc postage etc.. I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere, not even Sony Parts in Heathrow knew about it so what chance did I stand. I could have used the cheaper AX-107 but Sony made the last one in 1995 and are like rocking house shite. Even considered using some info I found to enable the inputs with a PIC but it was to iffy, just put it down to experience. It is a lot cheaper for me to use my headunit and not buy all the amps etc....

Cheers

Cris

Just gave it a dry run in the car using mains power and the 4v out put, works a treat, a bit loud though.

Sound quality is better than the cdplayer in the headunit I rekon.

Cris.
