That's right folks, our beloved Hijack has just turned 200.
And with that, it is officially retiring.

Yeah, no kidding. I think my heart actually skipped a beat. Mark really knows how to toy with us. Remember when he took that break in December?

Hey, did everyone check out what's new in revision 200? "Improves car fuel or home heating efficiency by 12%" Pretty cool, Mark!

Seriously, one of the reasons I bought an empeg was that I found the forum and saw that http to the player was coming soon. I ordered, and http support was working by the time my empeg arrived a week later!

Thanks!
Gary, reclining on his couch, wirelessly controlling his living room empeg from his laptop, hoping Mark will use this break to set up a Paypal account...

Gary, can you point me to a thread describing how you control via wireless?

v2.00?

Hmm, usually in most software releases, a new integer change indicates te new version is a complete revamping of the software.. Otherwise the change is a decimal or alpha change..

Is this the case with the v2.00 HiJack?

Cool if true..

I think you will find that this is version 200 not version 2.00

Mark just numbers his releases incrementally with integers.

Cheers

wireless setup:

The empeg is connected via a cable it to a wireless broadband router. My laptop has a wireless card that talks to the router. Simple.

A good source of how to do wireless networking can be found at http://www.practicallynetworked.com.

On a previous thread, he mentioned the addresses of his PayPal accounts, for those who feel so inclined.
