Two things on my future list is to be able to walk into a room near my computer or Riocar or other Mp3 player and hum a tune and that the player will compare the wave pattern and compare it to mp3's until it finds a match and plays that song.

I sing 'At the Copa, CopaCabana", and it pulls up Barry Manilow and begins to play it. Even better from the bar/phrase i sung it from.

I would also like to see wave pattern matching acrosss songs so I can indentify songs that sound similar. YOu can instantly see what rap song sampled a beat from where , or a rock song lifted a guitar lick from some past band.

Some of this stuff is possible now, just the processing power is high and the demand for it is low.
