The Jetta has bombed so many times in the UK that I guess a new name was a good plan.

Are we talking about the same Jetta? - I can't see it having that image here.
It's one of those cars that you have to wonder: How come you see so many battered old ones knocking about, when you can't ever remember seeing a new one? Do Volkswagen have a vehicle weathering department, where they kick failed models out to back street used car dealers?

Incidentally, when Maserati was not a division of Fiat, didn't they have a Bora?
